Negative
A control line and a test line are visible. A faint coloured test line also counts as negative when the control is valid and the result is read correctly. This does not exclude all drug use.
The VivaTest 3 Panel Urine Drug Test Kit provides a simple and convenient way to screen a urine sample for Cocaine, Cannabis / THC and Amphetamine using one compact multi-drug test device.
Designed for home and workplace drug testing, the test combines three separate drug screening panels into one easy-to-use dip card with clear visual Control and Test lines.
No electronic reader or additional testing equipment is required.
The test screens for three commonly tested drug groups:
Cocaine (COC)
Cut-off concentration: 300 ng/mL
Cannabis / THC
Cut-off concentration: 50 ng/mL
Amphetamine (AMP)
Cut-off concentration: 1,000 ng/mL
Each drug has its own individual test panel, allowing Cocaine, Cannabis / THC and Amphetamine to be screened from the same urine sample.
For more information about screening thresholds, ng/mL measurements and typical detection windows, read our Drug Detection Times & Cut-Off Levels Guide.
The compact format makes the VivaTest 3 Panel Urine Drug Test suitable for convenient and private drug screening at home.
One urine sample can be screened simultaneously for Cocaine, Cannabis / THC and Amphetamine, providing an individual screening result for each drug panel.
The test is also suitable for straightforward workplace urine drug screening where a compact multi-panel test for commonly screened substances is required.
The simple dip-card design means no specialist electronic reader is required to interpret the visual result lines.
Not sure whether a urine or oral-fluid test is more appropriate? Read our Urine vs Saliva Drug Testing Guide to compare the two testing methods.
Always read and follow the full Instructions for Use supplied with the product before testing.
NEGATIVE
A Control line (C) and Test line (T) appear for the relevant drug panel.
A visible Test line, even when lighter than the Control line, should be interpreted according to the supplied Instructions for Use.
POSITIVE
The Control line appears but no Test line appears for the relevant drug panel.
This represents a presumptive positive screening result.
INVALID
If the Control line does not appear, the result is invalid and the test should be repeated using a new device.
This product provides a qualitative screening result.
A positive screening result is presumptive and should not on its own be regarded as definitive confirmation of the presence of a particular drug.
Where confirmation is required, an appropriate confirmatory laboratory method should be used.
Amphetamine: 1,000 ng/mL
Cocaine: 300 ng/mL
Cannabis / THC: 50 ng/mL
A drug-test cut-off is the screening threshold used by the test when determining whether the result is negative or presumptive positive.

This specific 3-panel urine drug test screens for:
Cocaine
Cannabis / THC
Amphetamine
It does not screen for drug groups outside these three panels.

Different drug tests are available depending on the substances you need to screen for, the sample type you prefer and the number of drug panels required.

A urine dip card for cocaine, cannabis and amphetamine screening. Three separate panels help you focus on the substances relevant to your screening requirements.
Intended use: the supplied leaflet specifies professional in vitro diagnostic use. Follow the product labelling and appropriate testing procedures.
The listed panels and cut-offs for this urine test are shown below. Match these to the substances you need to screen.
| Code | Screening target | Cut-off (ng/mL) |
|---|---|---|
| COC | Cocaine | 300 |
| THC | Cannabis (THC) | 50 |
| AMP | Amphetamine | 1000 |
Use the codes, reference substances and thresholds on the supplied device and leaflet for your test. Different sample types and panels can use different cut-offs.
A practical overview. Read the complete supplied instructions before opening the test; they specify sample quantity, collection time and the valid reading window.
Check the expiry date and sealed pouch. Bring the test and sample to the temperature specified in the leaflet and have a timer ready.
Collect urine in a clean, dry container. Remove the test cap and immerse only the exposed test ends to the marked depth for the duration in the leaflet.
Remove the test from the sample, replace the cap if directed and place it flat. Start timing at the step specified in the leaflet.
Follow the reading time and final interpretation window in the supplied leaflet.
Sample collection and test development are separate steps. Set a timer and use the instructions for this exact device.
Interpret each drug panel independently, within its valid reading time. C is the control line; T is the drug test line. Match the positions to the printed guide on your device.
A control line and a test line are visible. A faint coloured test line also counts as negative when the control is valid and the result is read correctly. This does not exclude all drug use.
The control line is visible and the test line is absent for that panel. This is an initial screening result. A more specific laboratory method is needed to confirm it.
The required control line has not appeared, with or without a test line. Do not interpret that panel. Review the instructions and repeat using a new device.
Illustrative drug-panel examples only. Some devices share a control across several drug lines; follow the layout in the supplied leaflet. Line darkness does not measure how much drug is present.
These tests provide preliminary qualitative information. Consider the panel coverage, sample collection and circumstances alongside the result.
Arrange a more specific laboratory confirmation method, such as GC-MS or LC-MS/MS, before making consequential medical, employment or other decisions. Seek qualified interpretation.
A negative screen does not prove that no substance was used. The substance may not be on the panel, may be below the cut-off, or may no longer be detectable in that sample.
Rapid screens do not determine a dose, exact time of use, dependence or impairment. Medicines and other substances can affect some assays. Do not stop prescribed medicines on the basis of this test.
Choose by sample type, individual screening targets and intended use. A higher panel count is useful only when its coverage matches your requirements.

These strips offer reliable screening performance when used correctly. For legal or workplace confirmation, a laboratory test may be recommended.
Dip the strip into a fresh urine sample, wait the recommended reaction time, then read the result lines within the instructed time window.
Results typically appear within minutes after sample immersion.
